During the tourist season, you might dock at three (3) different ports on the island so which one is the right for you?

Agia Marina Port

Agia Marina Aegina port operates from Spring to Autumn. It is ideal if you seek for a day trip to:

  • Visit the Aphaia Temple
  • Visit Agio Nektario Monastery
  • Enjoy a day at the beach with decisious tavernas

or if you want to stay in Agia Marina to enjoy sandy beach and rocky cove, delicious tavernas and a relaxed atmosphere. It is a short taxi ride away from Vagia, Mesagros, Portes, or Alones.

Connection to/from other islands:

  • Hydra
  • Spetses

Aegina Town Port

Aegina Town port is open all year round with several ferries and speed boats coming and going during the day.

It is ideal if you plan to stay in Aegina Town, Maratones or Perdika and gives you access to the entire island as it hosts the main bus station and taxi station. To go to Agia Marina, Vagia or Maratones expect a 20-minute ride with a taxi or 30 minutes by bus.

Connection to/from other islands:

  • Agistri
  • Moni
  • Poros
  • Methana

Souvala Port

This port is ideal if you plan to stay in Souvala, Vagia, Kipseli or Mesagros areas. Yet, as all port, you can always call a taxi to access the entire island.

Aegina Portal, a local website, offers the most updated version of the bus schedule, including bank holidays or special celebration time table.

It is in Greek so here are what you want to look for if you don't speak the language:

  • Agia Marina = ΑΓ.ΜΑΡΙΝΑ
  • Aphaia Temple = ΑΦΑΙΑ
  • Agio Nektarios = ΑΓΙΟΣ ΝΕΚΤΑΡΙΟΣ
  • Souvala / Vagia = ΣΟΥΒΑΛΑ-ΒΑΓΙΑ
  • Perdika / Maratonas = ΠΕΡΔΙΚΑ - ΜΑΡΑΘΩΝΑΣ

Agia Marina - Aegina Port

This is the most populare line passing by all sites. It will take you about 30 minutes to go from one end of the line to the other. Note that during religious celebrations, or high season peaks, extra bus coming from Aegina might be serving only Agio Nektarios so check with the ticket booth or the driver if it goes to Agia Marina, from Agia Marina, all buses will pass through Ag. Nektarios.

From Agia Marina, it goes first to the Aphaia Temple (about 5 minutes ride), pass through Mesagros village, then Agio Nektarios and finishes its course at Aegina Port.

From Aegina, you will first pass by Agio Nektarios, then Mesagros and the Aphaia Temple to finally arrive to the centre of Agia Marina.
