The Turtle of Aegina Earrings is a tribute to the island crest and one of her most ancient legacy: the turtle... and coins!

There is so much to say about the turtle spirit, its symbolism and how the island came to embody the sea turtle through its naval fleet, civilisation and way of life, that I decided to share that story in an article you can find below when scrolling down.

The earrings's fabrication details

The pieces I selected to create this pair of earrings are made of the following materials:

  • 999° Antique silver-plated
  • Lava stone
  • Silver-plated
  • Zamak (Zinc, Magnesium, Copper)

The components are sourced from Greek producers and assembled in my atelier according to my inspiration.

The earrings' length is about 5 cm long, but as they are handmade, their length can vary by a few millimetres.

The total weight of the set is about 7 g.
