Create your own magic candle 🕯 to light up your intentions at our Kalo Mina Candle-Making Workshop
In Greece, the traditional greeting "Kalo Mina"—shared on the first day of each month—symbolises a fresh start. Rooted in the wisdom of life's cyclical nature, it's a gentle reminder that every month offers a new beginning.
At the Kalo Mina Candle-Making Workshop, we embrace this rhythm and combine it with the Aeginetan philosophy of sigá sigá, meaning "little by little." It's an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with intention.
How can Candle-Making support your growth and become magical?
As an artist, coach, and business owner, I've seen how creative rituals help bypass the mental noise and unlock our intuition. When your hands are engaged, your mind softens—and that's when clarity arrives.
This is more than just a craft. It's a ceremonial experience where you:
✨ Set your intention for the month ahead.
✨Meditate and ground yourself.
✨Channel your energy into creating a candle infused with meaning.
✨Have fun while inviting transformation.
Your finished candle becomes a daily anchor for your intention. Each time you light it, the scent and soft glow will remind your body, mind, and heart of your objective, subtly guiding you back to your path and opening your attention to seize opportunities that could help you get closer to your intent.
No sorcery—just scent, symbolism, and soul.
📅 When
On the last Sunday of each month, from October to April
Time: 11 am to 1/2 pm
The workshop is timed to fit with the Aegina Town – Agia Marina bus route (arriving 10:15, returning 15:10), so it's accessible even without a car.

On this beautiful morning of 1st November, we met in an appreciative group of like-minded people to welcome the new month and set an intention for this month. Christel helped us through questions and a meditation to find the right intention for us and to make and decorate a candle with this energy.
My candle smells wonderfully of lavender and lemon and accompanies me throughout the month in a magical way.
I will be very happy to come back if I am on Aegina for the first day of the month.
Kalo Mina! I really enjoyed this Candle Making Workshop to welcome in the new month 🙂 I set some intentions and desires, and will remember them every day this month (as I do find it hard to focus at times!) as I burn the candle. I was drawn to using sandlewood and lavender oil. Sandalwood has been used for thousands of years to calm the mind and lavender is known for relaxation and improved sleep quality, and more! I highly recommend this class 🙂
