Enjoy a relaxing time painting driftwood collected on the Aegina Island shoreline!

Driftwood painting is an entertaining material to play with. When you let your mind aside, the wood inspires you with its texture and curves. Some want to become decorated sticks, candlestick holders, or incense burners. They invite colours, stones or rope ornaments. Creativity and imagination get on full speed.

What skills do I need to participate in the Driftwood painting workshop in Agia Marina?

There is no right or wrong way to paint driftwood, nor a need to be an experienced artist. Miscalibrated brushstrokes can bring new ideas and help you create something you never expected; therefore, do not let your perfectionist prevent you from having some fun.

Age requirement: above 16 years old

Language: English (French speaking workshops can be organised for groups of 4 to 6 participants)

WHEN is the Driftwood painting workshop in Agia Marina?

Different dates are available, so pick the one that suits you best.

The workshop will start at 9:45 am and last about 2 hours; however, if you are having fun, you can stay longer at the atelier while the shop is open.

What material must I bring to the Driftwood painting workshop in Agia Marina?

  • Your best DIY clothes and your smile. I will provide the rest!

I collect driftwood on Aegina Island beaches, dry it, and observe it to ensure it doesn't host little insects. You can, therefore, bring it back safely home and enjoy its presence.

If you are travelling, a short stick will easily fit your suitcase, and the magic of driftwood is that the wood lost is density and, therefore, is pretty light to carry.

What material is included in the Driftwood painting workshop in Agia Marina?

  • Various driftwood pieces, so you can pick the one that speaks to you.
  • Paint and brushes.
  • Rope and natural decoration elements.
  • DIY tools.
  • Water and Tea

If you want to add semi-precious stones to your creation, you can purchase some in the shop (the price depends on the type of stone).

I don't have a car, how can I come to Agia Marina?

The workshop synchronises with the bus schedule between Aegina Town and Agia Marina.

If you come by car, you can park in the free public parking at the village entrance (on Alones side, in front of the tennis court).
