Kalo Mina Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina:
Create your magic candle to light up your intentions!
The traditional greeting "Kalo Mina" shared on the first day of every month on Aegina Island is rooted in the philosophy that life is cyclical. It symbolises the opportunity to start fresh each month.
Embracing this monthly cycle can be a wonderful way to manage short and long-term projects, as it aligns with the σιγά σιγά (sigá sigá) approach to life - meaning "little by little" or "one step at a time.
Now, what does it have to do with candle-making?
As an artist, coach, and business owner, I know creativity plays a significant role in activating your intuition, senses, and subconscious mind. Engaging in creative activities allows you to channel your energy while keeping your conscious mind occupied. Although it may seem counterintuitive, having fun can actually help you gain clarity and focus on your intentions.
During the Kalo Mina Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina, you will set your intention, meditate, create your intentional candle for the month, and have fun.
When you set intentions while creating something, you signal to your body that you want to bring your project to life. Your body, mind, emotions, and intuition will allocate energy to support your goals. Much of the inner work will happen in the background of your mind, and you will naturally be more open to opportunities and synchronicities and expand your intuition.
Mixing creativity with setting intentions can make your candle magic! I'm still not talking about sorcery, so don't worry! What's magical is that each time you light up your candle during the month, it will remind your mind, body, emotions, and senses of your intention. The fragrance of your candle will gently come to your senses, acting as a coach to help you keep your intention alive and motivate you to make it happen.
When?
1st day of each month from November to Mai 2024
Your candle will need 24 hours to solidify; therefore, if you stay in Agia Marina, you will pass by the shop the day after the workshop to collect it. If you are staying in Aegina Town, we will arrange a time and place where you can collect the candle. If you stay somewhere else on the island, you must arrange your candle pick-up.

Kalo Mina! I really enjoyed this Candle Making Workshop to welcome in the new month 🙂 I set some intentions and desires, and will remember them every day this month (as I do find it hard to focus at times!) as I burn the candle. I was drawn to using sandlewood and lavender oil. Sandalwood has been used for thousands of years to calm the mind and lavender is known for relaxation and improved sleep quality, and more! I highly recommend this class 🙂
