Christmas Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina:

Taking the time to craft a gift for someone is a beautiful expression of love. I was raised baking cookies for Christmas and crafting presents. I was taught the preciousness of thinking about someone and creating something especially for them. It is a pure act of love, and beyond today's commercial theatre, I genuinely believe that handmade presents remain pure golden bars of love. 

Many people love a lovely candle to bring a cosy atmosphere to a winter evening. So why not mix both?

During the Christmas Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina, you will learn how to create candles and mix cinnamon, orange and other winter fragrances.

You will also learn how to use a mould, as I have some specials for Christmas. If you prefer playing safe, pour your wax into jars you could paint.

WHEN is the Christmas Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina?

Different dates are available in the first week of December. Check the one that suits you best.

The workshop comprises two sessions of ~2 hours because your candle will need 24/48 hours to solidify.

Day 1:
Melting the wax, preparing the fragrances and moulding your candles.

Day 2:
Releasing the candles from their mould or decorating your jars. Adding last touches to the candles.

Age requirement: above 16 years old

Language: English or French

At WHAT TIME is the Christmas Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina?

You can choose to take 2 morning sessions or 2 evening sessions.

• Morning sessions start at 9:45 (fits the bus schedule between Agia Marina and Aegina)
• Evening sessions start at 18:00

How to get there to Agia Marina?

• From Aegina Town: You can come by bus, car, scooter or taxi. The journey is about 20-30 minutes.
• From other places on Aegina Island: car, bike, taxi.
• From Athens: As you will need to hop on a ferry to Aegina Town and then on a bus or taxi, I recommend arriving the evening before and enjoying a cosy evening on the island. 

Parking: Free public parking is available at the village's entrance if you are coming from Alones Road or at the end of the village if you are coming from Aphaia Temple. It is in the field opposite the tennis court.

WHAT IS INCLUDED in the Christmas Candle-Making Workshop in Agia Marina?

As you will see, the price of the workshop will depend on the number of candles you want to create, so everyone will pay a fair price based on the materials needed.

You will be provided with the following material:

• Glass jar with a lid to keep the fragrance fresh and remain dust-free.
• Moulds with various shapes will be at your disposal.
• Vegan soy wax.
• Wooden or rope wick
• Fragrances & colours
• Natural decorative elements to add to your candle should you want to.
• Glass painting pens will be available if you want to decorate the glass.
• Tea and water whenever you are thirsty.
